We arelooking for:Critical Care VeterinaryTechnician
Schedule: Saturdays 7am-7:30pm
Never a dull moment inCritical Care!Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being should enjoy phlebotomy placing IV cathetersassistingwith recovery and client follow up and education.
Whatyoulldo:
- Record and deliver organized roundsdiscusscasesandgatheradditionalinformation as necessary
- Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
- Partner withpatient care teamregardingtreatment plans clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns
- Provide client education including but not limitedto:home care instructions medications (indications adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
- Assist DVM with patient assessmenttreatmentand procedures
- Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesiaandsedation procedures
- Perform in-house laboratory testingandprepare samples for outside laboratory testing
Who you are:
- State Registered Veterinary Technician licensepreferred
- Prior veterinary experiencerequiredpreviousCritical Care Nursing or Emergencyexperience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
