This is a full-time position with the Office of the Attorney General. For more information on the Office of the Attorney General please visit .
This position is with the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation Technical Service Unit and will provide service to the Social Security Administration Law Enforcement Division. The incumbent will be responsible for the receipt analysis and dissemination of sensitive and confidential criminal intelligence and will provide direct support to state and Federal law enforcement officers and prosecutors as well as agency executives. The incumbent will operate and assist in the operation of several computer software programs . Experience in this field is preferred; however applicants will be trained by the agency. This position requires schedule flexibility with potential for work outside normal business hours.
Successful completion of a background investigation required.

- analytical experience statistical analysis or related experience involving research and critical thinking in either the public or private sector is recommended;
- knowledge in operations of different software programs;
- bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English;
- experience in criminal law.
Knowledge of:
- computer databases spreadsheet programs and other relevant web-based analytical software;
- techniques for acquiring information from multiple sources and databases.
Ability to:
- operate computers and associated hardware and software;
- display good verbal and written communication skills;
- organize and prioritize tasks under pressure;
- analyze complex topics to include financial records phone records social media records etc;
- conduct research regarding topics events or subjects having importance to agency executives and policy makers;
- learn and comprehend South Dakota Criminal Codes;
- provide direct testimonial evidence during adversarial court proceedings;
- work nights weekends and/or holidays as needed or scheduled.
