JOB SUMMARY
The Part-Time Credit Analyst Intern supports the Credit and Risk teams while learning how credit analysis and risk management support the Banks lending process. This entry-level position is designed to provide foundational training in credit analysis risk management and bank underwriting practices while working closely with experienced Credit Analysts Risk Analysts lenders and credit leadership. This position is intended as a training and development role with the opportunity to progress into a Credit Analyst position subject to graduation with a bachelors degree and upon demonstrated competency performance and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn reporting processes and apply analytical and organizational skills to recurring credit and risk reports.
Assist with materials and records for the Directors Loan Committee.
Apply research and attention-to-detail skills when supporting credit policy procedure and rate matrix updates.
Learn the technical exception process and assist with accurate tracking and follow-up.
Build professional communication skills while gathering information from lending and frontline staff.
Learn and consistently apply confidentiality requirements and applicable bank policies laws and regulations.
Participate in special projects that provide opportunities to apply developing credit analytical and business skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing a degree or certification in finance accounting business economics risk management or a related field preferred.
Interest in banking credit lending or risk management; previous banking experience is helpful but not required.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail organization communication and time-management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information follow instructions ask questions accept feedback and work independently or with a team.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
