Job Summary

Job Description

The Credentialing Specialist manages the full-cycle credentialing and reappointment process for Medical and Allied Health Professionals. Acting as a primary liaison between applicants and the Medical Staff Offices this role ensures regulatory compliance and smooth departmental operations in collaboration with the Sr. Credentialing Specialist and CCRD Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Management: Guide new applicants and existing staff through the entire credentialing and reappointment lifecycle ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on schedule.

  • Communication & Liaison: Serve as the central point of contact for Medical/Allied Health Staff and Medical Staff Offices providing clear guidance and updates regarding credentialing status.

  • Compliance & Auditing: Verify professional licenses certifications education and work history to maintain strict adherence to healthcare regulatory standards and hospital bylaws.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain highly confidential applicant files and update provider databases with precise up-to-date information.

  • Process Support: Assist the Sr. Credentialing Specialist and CCRD Manager with departmental workflows and special credentialing projects.
