Pay Range:

$22.05 - $33.08

A successful candidates actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience skills training certifications and education.

HSHS is seeking a Credentialing Specialist I-Credentials Verification Organization (CVO). This position will work remotely and will coordinate multiple projects (i.e. credentialing re/applications) at one time. Primary work functions utilize the credentialing database and both Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Google products. This role works closely with other team members to meet deadlines. The primary functions include Initial Application Credentialing Reappointment Credentialing and Coordination of expirable documents.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree Health Care Administration or related field is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • 2 years clerical experience is required.
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • 2 years of Hospital Credentialing or Payor Credentialing experience is preferred.

Certifications Licenses and Registrations

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred.

Job Description

For those who qualify for a level II role:

A candidate can be considered for a Credentialing Specialist II if they meet the following requirements:
The Credentialing Specialist II will work remotely and is responsible for managing multiple credentialing projects simultaneously including initial applications and reappointments. This role requires utilizing their expertise and knowledge from their experience and certification along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail as it involves maintaining and updating credentialing data using specialized software Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Google Workspace tools. The specialist will collaborate closely with Medical Staff Office team members to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently. Key responsibilities include processing initial credentialing applications managing recredentialing/reappointment processes coordinating and tracking expirable documents mentoring and training team members. This role plays a vital part in maintaining compliance and ensuring timely and accurate credentialing for all providers while supporting the education training and quality improvement processes in the department.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree Health Care Administration or related field is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • 2 years clerical experience is required.

  • 3 years of experience in healthcare is required.

  • 4 years of Hospital Credentialing/Medical Services field or Payor Credentialing experience is required.

Certifications Licenses and Registrations

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is required.

Pay Range: Credentialing Specialist II-CVO

$23.15- $34.73
