Primary Function:
The Craft Recruiter is Dashiells dedicated recruiting resource for the craft and field workforce of its Dacon operations. Working closely with field operations leaders the Craft Recruiter sources screens and recruits qualified craft talent to meet Dacons project staffing needs on time and as the business grows. The position will be based in a hybrid role between our Houston TX and Deer Park TXoffice will report to Dashiells Talent Acquisition Manager or VP Human Resources.
Duties & Responsibilities
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:
Serve as the dedicated recruiting resource for Dacons craft and field workforce.
Partner with field operations leaders project managers and superintendents to understand craft manpower needs and build staffing plans in support of project demand.
Manage full-cycle recruiting for craft and field roles from intake through offer.
Source and screen craft workers through trade schools apprenticeship programs military transition programs job fairs referrals and industry networks.
Build and maintain a pipeline of craft talent to meet current and forecasted staffing needs.
Track and report craft staffing metrics time-to-fill fill rates and headcount against project demand to operations and HR leadership.
Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in the applicant tracking system (ApplicantStack).
Represent Dacon at job fairs trade school events apprenticeship programs and industry hiring events.
Ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with applicable employment law and company policy.
Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.

Reduce project delays and premium labor costs by proactively meeting craft manpower demand.
Expand and diversify the craft talent pipeline through proactive sourcing.
Support Dacons field operations by delivering qualified craft talent quickly and reliably.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience preferably including craft skilled trades construction or field labor recruiting.
Experience with high-volume full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with applicant tracking systems; ApplicantStack experience a plus.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills with field craft and operations stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities under deadline pressure.
Experience in the electrical utility transmission and distribution substation EPC or heavy construction industry preferred.
Ability to travel to project sites and recruiting events as needed.
Valid drivers license required.
