Craft Maintenance Intern

OVERVIEW

Marathon Petroleum Company LP has openings for Craft Maintenance Interns at its refinery in Robinson Illinois. The goal of this position is to provide hands-on learning experience to selected candidates to support academic development aligned with coursework in their program. This internship will give the intern an opportunity to develop and apply knowledge technical skills and interpersonal skills in the workplace under the direction of Maintenance employees.

As a Craft Maintenance Intern at Marathons Robinson Refinery you can expect to become familiar with industry codes and best practices build critical thinking skills and gain hands-on experience in real worldapplicationof your studies. You will gain knowledge of various aspects of a refinery by working with a team of professionals who are critical to plant maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates adherence to Marathons safe work practicesmaintaininga strong commitment to safety and compliance

Opportunities are available for internships in the followingdisciplines:

Instrument Technician

• Supports Craftsmen in the installation testing calibration troubleshooting and repair of field instruments including transmitters transducers controllers switches solenoids relays control valves regulators actuators positioners and instrument loops.

• Supports a production-oriented environment bymaintainingelectrical equipment through established troubleshooting techniques and methodologies withexpertisein low and medium voltage equipment preferred.

Electrician

• Supports general electrical maintenance tasks including wiring repairs lighting and circuit breaker upkeep to ensure continued operational efficiency.

• Assistswith interpreting andutilizingelectrical one-line diagrams schematics andoperateselectrical testing equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Enrollment in a two-year Advanced Manufacturing Automation program electricalinstrumentation analyzeror similar programs

• Good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA)

• A valid drivers license

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future

PAY AND BENEFITS

• Hourly Rate:$26.27/hr

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

Interns will work a part-time schedule with workdays Mon-Thu with no more than 30 hours a week worked without supervisor approval.
