Job Summary
The Third Judicial District is accepting applications for a service-oriented Court Operations Associate to join the Mower County Court Administration Team.
In this fast-paced and detail-oriented role you will be responsible for processing cases and assisting court customers and justice partners in order to provide justice through a system that assures equal access for the fair and timely resolution of cases and controversies.
The work location for this position is the Mower County Courthouse located at 202 2nd Ave NE Suite 3 Austin MN 55912.
What YouWillDo
The following are examples of major job duties expected of this position:
- Perform the full range of court operation work that may involve responsibility for a specific area of court case processing
- Perform a variety of advanced clerical functions and multiple case types
- Provide assistance toattorneys parties self-represented litigants judges and the public by responding to a variety of questions in-person over the phone by mail and/or electronically
- Provide courtroom support by working with judges court reporters and other justice partners
- Review enter record and update case information using an electronic case processing systemand related applications and equipment
- Schedule andmaintaincourt calendars
- Receive process and receipt payments due to the court
- Attend court andassistbycalling cases takingnotesand handling documents in the courtroom
- May perform the duties ofan Electronic Recording Equipment Operator (EREO) includingrecording and monitoring court proceedings

- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater which may include but is not limited to customer service administrative work office and clerical work
Nice to Have
- Certificate or degree in a related field
- Considerable knowledge of court procedures policies and records management
- Experienceworking with the courts electronic case processing system

- Ability to learn rules of court state statutes case processing policies and procedures of the area of court assigned
- Knowledge of basic math
- Skill in navigatingdifficult situationsand resolving conflict in a respectful and courteous manner
- Ability to effectively support court users who have limited experience with the judicial system
- Ability toprovideexceptional customer service while working under pressure in a high volume fast-paced environment
- Skill in the operation of a personal computer including electronic case management system and related applications and equipment
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and in compliance with all applicable court rules policies and statutes
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Well organized detail oriented and analytical
