The Club at Tartan Fields
Position Summary
The Lifeguard at The Club at Tartan Fields is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all members and guests using the aquatic facilities. This role requires constant vigilance a strong understanding of water safety procedures and a commitment to delivering a positive family-friendly member experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas at all times
Enforce pool rules and regulations in a professional and courteous manner
Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies including rescues and first aid situations
Administer CPR AED and First Aid when necessary
Monitor swimmer behavior to prevent unsafe activities
Perform routine pool safety checks and report any hazards or maintenance concerns
Maintain accurate incident and accident reports as required
Assist with opening and closing procedures of the pool facility
Provide exceptional service and interact positively with members and guests
Support pool events swim lessons and special programs as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
Ability to swim proficiently and perform rescues as required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations
Dependable punctual and professional in appearance and demeanor
Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit stand walk and remain alert for extended periods
Ability to lift carry and assist individuals in and out of the pool as needed
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Work Environment
Outdoor and/or indoor aquatic facilities
Exposure to water sun heat and pool chemicals
