OrthoUnited is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at our Spectrum Campus location in North Canton on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of orthopedic specialists dedicated to helping patients restore function improve mobility and enhance their quality of life.
Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. The ideal candidate is patient-focused team-oriented and committed to delivering exceptional care.
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving functional abilities strength coordination and independence in daily activities.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home programs.
- Communicate effectively with therapists physicians and other healthcare team members regarding patient care.
- Maintain treatment areas equipment and supplies in accordance with clinic standards.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Ohio Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.
- Previous outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.
