Job Summary

Job Title: Cost Deployment Intern (Continuous Improvement)

Location: Arlington TX

Duration: 3 Months Paid Full-Time (with potential extension up to 6 months based on project needs and performance)

Position Summary: The Cost Deployment Intern will support the transition from a Fresh Eyes approach to a structured Cost Deployment methodology. This role will act as a central coordinator developing standard tools and guiding cross-functional teams to identify quantify and prioritize cost losses across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Cost Deployment templates loss trees and matrixes
  • Lead coordination across departments to collect and structure cost loss data
  • Guide teams through completion of Cost Deployment matrixes and ensure consistency
  • Support validation and consolidation of inputs from Operations Maintenance Quality and Finance
  • Translate operational losses into financial impact and identify key cost drivers
  • Create visual summaries (Pareto charts dashboards loss breakdowns)
  • Deliver a prioritized pipeline of Continuous Improvement opportunities

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Supply Chain Business Analytics or related field
  • Preferred: Graduate-level student
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Interest in Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

  • Final presentation to leadership with recommendations
