Location: Kansas City MO 64132
Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite. After training there may be an option to work from home one day per week.
Salary: $80000 to $105000 annually

Role Overview

Seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Analyst to support cost accounting and financial planning in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on standard costing inventory accounting variance analysis budgeting forecasting financial modeling and financial reporting.

The position works closely with Operations Manufacturing Engineering Supply Chain and Finance to analyze costs identify improvement opportunities and provide insights that support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain standard costs for materials labor and overhead and analyze manufacturing variances.
  • Manage inventory accounting including valuation reserves obsolescence and inventory analysis.
  • Support physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
  • Analyze product costs and identify cost-saving opportunities with Operations and Supply Chain teams.
  • Assist with budgeting forecasting long-range planning and financial modeling.
  • Perform product cost pricing and margin analysis for existing and new products.
  • Prepare financial reports analyze variances and provide actionable business insights.
  • Improve reporting processes and maintain data accuracy through ERP systems and collaboration with IT.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing accounting experience required.
  • Experience in cost accounting manufacturing finance or a related field.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
