Corrections Officer

Adult Corrections Officer Recruits are responsible for maintaining safety security and order within correctional facilities. Duties include supervising individuals in custody monitoring daily activities enforcing facility rules conducting searches responding to emergencies and supporting rehabilitation efforts. Recruits receive structured training and progressively assume independent responsibility for assigned security posts while ensuring the safe operation of correctional facilities.

• High School Diploma GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of work experience demonstrating responsibility and communication skills.
• Valid drivers license.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 21 years of age upon completion of training.
• Ability to pass:
  • Background investigation
  • Drug screening
  • Physical fitness assessment
  • Psychological evaluation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow policies procedures and security protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
