JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepares documents to be filed with regulatory agencies including but not limited to Departments of Insurance and Secretary of States.
• Prepares board of director related materials certifications and related documents as requested.
• Performs legal research which may include use of automated legal research services to resolve legal questions.
• Provides analysis on reports and research as requested.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills Knowledge & Abilities Required:

• In depth knowledge and application of legal research as well as the insurance industry.
• Strong internal/external customer interactive skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and other business related software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including professional phone etiquette.

Education & Experience Required:

• Completion of an accredited paralegal program Bachelors degree preferred.
• Typically a minimum of five years paralegal experience.
• Minimum of three years insurance experience. Familiarity with the UCAA application processes a plus.
