A premier global law firm is seeking a Corporate M&A / Energy & Infrastructure Associate Attorney to join its Houston office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing energy companies infrastructure investors private equity sponsors developers and strategic buyers in sophisticated domestic and cross-border M&A and energy transactions.

36 years of corporate transactional mergers & acquisitions energy or infrastructure experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

Experience representing public and private companies private equity sponsors developers infrastructure funds utilities and strategic investors

Experience handling mergers & acquisitions joint ventures asset acquisitions divestitures strategic investments and corporate reorganizations

Experience advising clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors including oil & gas LNG midstream upstream downstream power renewables utilities or energy transition projects is preferred

Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements merger agreements joint venture agreements shareholder agreements operating agreements and other complex commercial agreements

Experience managing transactions from due diligence through closing while coordinating multidisciplinary deal teams

Strong drafting negotiation analytical organizational and communication skills

Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
