Job Summary
Are you looking to join a tenured team at an AmLaw100 firm Nelson Mullins is seeking a midlevel associate to join its emerging companies group in its Chicago office.
The Nelson Mullins Venture Capital and Technology Team advises companies founders management teams and investors in entrepreneurial ventures in addition to representing emerging and growth stage companies in corporate and financing matters. The work covers both legal and business needs at every stage of growth from formation and early funding to employment tax intellectual property regulatory compliance including mergers and acquisitions transactions from formation through exit.
You possess 2 to 5 yearsof meaningful corporate transactional experience in a law firm setting;emerging company and venture capital experience is strongly preferred. You are knowledgeable in the areas of corporate finance mergers and acquisitions securities and general corporate matters. With strong writing analytical and communications skills you have excelled academically.You are admitted to and in good standing with the Illinois bar.
- At Nelson Mullins we are dedicated to transparent and fair compensation practices. Pay for this position is determined by factors such as experience skills and location.
- In Illinois the salary/wage range is $215000 - $270000 addition to base pay employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits such as healthcare retirement plans and paid time off.
