Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools (GCCS) serves more than 1600 students from PreK12 and is a free open-enrollment public charter school system located in Kansas City Missouri. Over 97% of our students identify as Latinx and many are bilingual or English learners. Our network includes Guadalupe Centers Elementary School Guadalupe Centers Middle School and Guadalupe Centers High School.

Position Summary

The Core Data/SIS/Federal Programs Director provides strategic leadership for the districts student information systems state Core Data reporting and federal program administration. This position ensures the accuracy integrity and compliance of student and staff data; oversees required state and federal reporting; provides leadership and technical support for the districts Student Information System; and coordinates federal program compliance monitoring and reporting to support district operations and student achievement.

Reports To: VP of Accountability and Continuous Improvement

SIS/Core Data Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Director of Family Engagement and Student Services and registrars to ensure enrollment attendance and demographic data are accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitors and facilitates integration of other student information systems/data systems with Infinite Campus i.e. Clever EdCite ELLevation and Paper Tutoring
• Identifies issues and serves as the escalation point for inquiries related to the student information system software applications and data ensuring timely resolution of user problems.
• Provides training opportunities for district and site staff on the use of the student information system (e.g. new applications upgrades updates etc.) for the purpose of ensuring proper and efficient use of the system.
• Responds to user requests for a variety of report options (e.g. assessment information attendance enrollment etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
• Submits all Core Data reports and assists the District Food Services Department with Free and Reduced Lunch reports and other state and federally-mandated reports to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and other entities as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Federal/State Programs Administration Responsibilities

• Manage federal grant programs and funding allocations.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement programs aimed at improving student outcomes.
• Monitor the effectiveness of federal programs and make recommendations for improvement.
• Oversee LEA Grant Management provide follow through and mentor allocation accountability and effectiveness/results.
• Supervise and oversee the McKinney Vento/Homeless program for the LEA.

Required Skills/Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Education Information Systems Business Administration Public Administration or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 23 years of experience with student information systems and state reporting requirements.
• Experience managing and analyzing large data sets.
• Knowledge of federal and state reporting requirements and compliance regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database applications.
• Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Missouri Core Data reporting.
• Experience administering SIS platforms.
• Experience with federal programs compliance and reporting.
• Experience supporting audits monitoring reviews and data validation processes.
• Knowledge of FERPA and student data privacy requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
