Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of CEEL the Coordinator of Student Employment and Experiential Learning supports the day-to-day coordination implementation and continuous improvement of the Universitys Campus Jobs Student Employment Program and Credited Internships Program. The Coordinator assists with federally funded Federal Work-Study and non-federally funded student employment processes credited internship coordination supervisor engagement student onboarding compliance with applicable institutional and federal requirements and the integration of career readiness into student employment and experiential learning experiences.
The Coordinator also provides direct career coaching to students and supports the development of coaching training and assessment practices that help students connect campus employment internships academic learning and co-curricular experiences to career pathways and post-graduate goals. Perform related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the daily operations of the Campus Jobs Student Employment Program Federal Work-Study non-federal student employment the Credited Internships Program and other assigned career-connected courses or programs.
Assist in implementing and maintaining policies procedures workflows training materials and program resources to support consistency compliance equity and quality across student employment and credited internship programs.
Serve as a primary point of contact for student employment processes including student applications supervisor approvals onboarding position descriptions earnings monitoring and coordination with Human Resources Financial Aid Payroll academic departments and campus supervisors.
Support compliance with Federal Work-Study limits institutional policies and applicable local state and federal laws regulations and procedures.
Use a case management approach to support students participating in campus jobs Federal Work-Study non-federal student employment credited internships and related career-connected opportunities.
Coordinate Campus Jobs fairs new hire orientations supervisor training sessions career readiness programs employer information sessions and related student employment or internship events.
Respond to questions from students faculty staff supervisors and employers regarding campus jobs credited internships onboarding supervisor expectations student concerns and program requirements.
Collaborate with faculty staff supervisors and employers to support quality student employment and internship opportunities including position descriptions job responsibilities learning expectations performance feedback processes and assessment tools.
Provide individualized career coaching to assigned student cohorts including career exploration resume and cover letter development internship and job search strategies interview preparation Handshake and LinkedIn profiles professional communication and workplace readiness.
Design and deliver career readiness workshops classroom presentations orientation sessions supervisor training and small-group coaching sessions aligned with NACE career competencies and institutional student success goals.
Maintain accurate employment internship employer and student engagement data in Handshake Paycom and other relevant platforms; support data integrity and use data to recommend program improvements.
Support assessment practices that evaluate student learning career readiness outcomes student worker performance internship experiences supervisor satisfaction and overall program effectiveness.
Prepare reports summaries and data analyses related to student employment credited internships career coaching engagement employer participation and student outcomes.
Develop and maintain student and supervisor handbooks onboarding guides orientation materials forms manuals brochures web content and other communications related to student employment internships and career coaching.
Train and provide work direction to student workers graduate assistants temporary staff or other assigned personnel as applicable.
Represent CEEL and the University at internal and external meetings events and programs related to student employment internships career readiness and employer engagement as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES:
Coordinate the development and publication of departmental materials related to student employment credited internships employer outreach and career readiness including brochures newsletters web content flyers presentations and related communications.
Maintain and monitor budget-to-actual reports related to student employment and other assigned program areas as needed.
Support employer outreach campus recruiting and student engagement initiatives in collaboration with CEEL staff.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within CEEL by identifying opportunities to streamline processes strengthen student support and improve the student and supervisor experience.
Salary Range:$60000 - $65000

Qualifications
Qualification Standards:
Masters degree from an accredited college or university in higher education student affairs human resources business administration counseling communications or a related field.
At least two years of relevant professional experience in career services student employment experiential learning internships student affairs human resources or a related area.
Experience supporting students through advising career coaching training orientation or other student-facing services.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple programs processes deadlines and events.
Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students faculty staff supervisors employers and external partners.
Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records manage confidential information and follow institutional policies and applicable regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and the ability to learn and use systems such as Handshake Paycom or similar career services human resources and student information platforms.
Ability to work independently exercise sound judgment and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds and advancing equitable access to employment internship and career development opportunities.
Availability to occasionally work evenings or weekends for programs open house commencement and other University sponsored events.
