Job Summary

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for promoting the district using multiple communication platforms and produce events that benefit district initiatives. This position is responsible for executing and supporting marketing initiatives across all marketing platforms including but not limited to targeted advertising social media digital printed and offline efforts events and productions. Will develop and distribute digital advertisements promotional materials social media content and other content that captures all aspects of the school district.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelors Degree required

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong political acumen and highly skilled relationship builder required

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required

Knowledge of K-12 setting preferred

Experience:

Three (3) years in education marketing communications business or similar role required

Daily Rate pay range:

Minimum daily: $334.28

Maximum daiy: $466.40

Note:Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each persons job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
  2. Demonstrates experience with direct marketing marketing research project management.
  3. Ability to lead developing digital campaigns that engage inform and motivate.
  4. Lead the design implementation and management of the districts website ensuring a consistency of design and branding.
  5. To train staff on the use of campus or departmental web pages.
  6. OverseedevelopmentofAllMITVfieldandstudioproductionssuchastalkshowsstories Superintendents Message etc.
  7. Overseevideotapingandeditingofschool related events Promos Student/Staff/District Recognition Promos etc.
  8. OverseelivestreamingYouTubeandFacebookLive withsingle&multi-cameraproductions.
  9. Perform responsibilities of Producer Director and Photojournalist for district instructional television/internet programming and video presentations for broadcast training or classroom use.
  10. Monitor and maintainworkingconditionandservicingofMITVvehicles.
  11. Research maintain and propose equipment needs for MITV theDistrict including School Board equipment.
  12. Producedirectand edit broadcast-quality programmingPSAs and video/audio commercials for use by local broadcast stations phone systems stadiumscoreboardsystem and webcast systems usingnon-linear editing software configurations.
  13. Oversee television production output at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadiumto include live television video feed live output audio feed live feed to scoreboard LED screen development of video playlist sponsorship graphics on scoreboard panels and coordination of live video signal with live in-house multi-cameras to produce stadium experience show.
  14. Ability to lead digital campaigns planning online marketing and social media best practices plus knowledge of sound branding and marketing principles.
  15. Ability to lead planning coordinating and implementing production at special events and district promotions.
  16. Superviseall staffbymonitoringday-to-dayoperationsworkassignmentsproject developmentetc.
  17. Supervise interns.
  18. Follows McAllen ISD customer service standards.
  19. Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator).
