About the Role
We are seeking a skilled AM Cook to prepare and serve high-quality breakfast and lunch meals in our assisted living community. This role requires strong cooking and baking skills attention to detail and the ability to supervise and support kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
Open the kitchen and begin morning meal preparation
Prepare breakfast and lunch following menus and recipes
Present food attractively and safely maintaining proper temperatures
Supervise and assist kitchen staff during meal prep and service
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment
Store leftovers appropriately and minimize food waste
Assist with ordering and preparing special occasion meals
Demonstrate competent cooking and baking skills with a variety of foods
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
GED or High School Diploma required
3 years of cooking experience in a similar setting
Food Handlers Certification (within 14 days) and ServSafe required
Strong multitasking organizational and supervisory skills
Proficient with kitchen equipment including culinary machinery extractor vacuum and computers
Physical Requirements
Lift/carry up to 50 lbs; push 250 lbs in wheelchair or cart
Sit stand walk squat bend and perform repetitive arm/hand movements
