Job Title: Cook

Employment Type: PRN (Non-benefited position)

Shift: Rotating shift with every other weekend commitment

Location: Nazareth Hospital Philadelphia PA

Position Purpose:

The Cook supervises the hot food production and other areas for the hospitals Dietary Department.

As a Cook you will:

  • Ensure meal service demands are met and customer approval ratings are high.

  • Participate in creating menus purchasing foods controlling food costs and maintaining a sanitary work environment.

  • Demonstrate leadership skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent formal training in food preparation preferred

  • 3-5 years experience

  • Proven culinary skills.

  • Some training in food preparation.

  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership abilities

  • Organizational and planning skills to coordinate all areas of food production
