Cook

At Blu Ocean Grille inside Encore at Tradition the Line Cook is responsible for preparing quality food items in a timely consistent and professional manner. This position plays an important role in maintaining the quality of the kitchen supporting daily operations and ensuring that all food is prepared according to restaurant standards. The Line Cook must be dependable organized and able to work well with direct supervisors and co-workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all meals are prepared on schedule and served at proper temperatures.

• Follow portion control and presentation standards to ensure consistency and minimize waste.

• Adhere to all food safety sanitation and infection control policies and procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen including equipment utensils and storage areas.

• Assist with receiving and storing food supplies ensuring proper rotation and inventory control.

• Communicate with dietary staff and leadership regarding resident needs menu changes or special requests.

• Support compliance with state local and facility regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Prior experience in food preparation

• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus).

• Ability to follow recipes

• Strong teamwork time management and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

• Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment and handle kitchen equipment safely.
