Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cook / Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic attention to detail and a passion for quality food. This role is responsible for preparing pizzas and supporting general kitchen operations while maintaining consistency cleanliness and speed of service.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards
• Stretch dough top pizzas accurately and operate pizza ovens (deck conveyor or wood-fired if applicable)
• Assist with general line cooking prep work and station setup
• Maintain proper food handling sanitation and safety standards
• Ensure consistency in product quality portioning and presentation
• Keep station clean organized and stocked throughout service
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff during service
• Assist with receiving labeling and rotating inventory (FIFO)
• Follow all health department and company policies

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cook or pizza cook preferred
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Reliable punctual and team-oriented
• Food handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for 6-8 hours per shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to travel up and down stairs multiple times during the shift
