Assignment Length:6 Months with potential extension

We are seeking a Controls Technician III to support a high-performing maintenance team responsible for maintaining and optimizing PLCs SCADA systems instrumentation and industrial automation equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on advanced control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What Youll Do

As a Controls Technician III you will be responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and improving industrial control systems that support daily production.

Responsibilities include:

• Install configure and maintain PLC HMI and SCADA systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical instrumentation and automation equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial control systems
• Calibrate pressure flow temperature and level instrumentation
• Analyze system failures and implement corrective actions
• Support automation upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
• Read and interpret electrical schematics P&IDs and control drawings
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to minimize production downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and system documentation
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Systems & Technologies

Youll work with a variety of modern industrial automation platforms including:

PLC Programming

• Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000
• Siemens PLCs (preferred)

HMI & SCADA

• Ignition SCADA
• FactoryTalk View SE & ME

Industrial Networks

• Ethernet/IP
• Modbus RTU/TCP
• Profibus
• Profinet
• RSLinx
• Wireshark

Maintenance Systems

• Fiix CMMS or similar maintenance management software

Instrumentation

• HART Communicators
• Calibration software
• Diagnostic and programming tools

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working with industrial control systems
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems
• Knowledge of motor control systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Experience working with industrial communication networks including Ethernet/IP Modbus and Profibus
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Education

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology Automation or a related field preferred
• Equivalent hands-on industry experience will be considered in place of formal education

Preferred

• Manufacturing experience in food beverage dairy or processing facilities
• Strong SCADA development and troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of process control loops and PID tuning
• Experience using CMMS software
• Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Arc Flash safety practices. Training will be provided.
