We are looking for a Controls Engineer who is energized by solving problems learning new technologies and supporting the people who keep manufacturing operations running. This position is part of the Facilities Engineering team and plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations within a heavy industrial environment. The successful candidate will work closely with operations maintenance and engineering personnel to improve equipment reliability resolve technical issues and implement automation and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting and resolving controls automation and process-related issues.
Partners with maintenance operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability safety and performance.
Assist with programming troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-based control systems.
Support setup tuning and optimization of PID control loops and other process control systems.
Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action efforts related to equipment downtime or process disruptions.
Develop and maintain controls documentation standards drawings and procedures.
Support capital projects equipment upgrades and new system installations.
Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency equipment uptime and process consistency.
Promote a culture of safety accountability teamwork and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Person as defined in CFR 120.62
Fundamental understanding of industrial control systems and automation principles.
Familiarity with PLCs HMIs industrial networking instrumentation and process control systems.
Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with operations maintenance and engineering teams in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Controls Engineering Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Allen-Bradley Siemens Schneider or similar PLC platforms.
Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) motor control systems instrumentation and process automation equipment.
Exposure to SCADA systems industrial networking or manufacturing data systems.
Experience supporting manufacturing foundry metals aerospace or other heavy industrial operations.
Experience managing or supporting controls-related projects from concept through implementation.
