The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA preferred)
  • 5 years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience preferably within a law firm or other professional services environment
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting budgeting forecasting general ledger management payroll accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Experience overseeing month-end and year-end close processes
  • Knowledge of law firm accounting including trust accounting and partner compensation is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes implement efficiencies and strengthen internal controls
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to firm leadership
  • High level of integrity professionalism and discretion when handling confidential financial information
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience managing and developing accounting staff
