A growing multi-location heavy equipment organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting operations and financial reporting function. This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys developing teams improving processes and partnering with senior management to drive stronger business performance.

Reporting to the CFO the Controller will oversee accounting operations across multiple locations including financial reporting AP AR general ledger budgeting forecasting cash management and internal controls. The role also leads the accounting team and provides financial analysis and strategic guidance to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day accounting operations across AP AR and general ledger functions
Oversee monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
Lead budgeting forecasting cash flow management and variance analysis
Monitor financial performance and KPIs and provide actionable insights to leadership
Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
Coordinate annual audits and oversee tax compliance activities
Manage reconciliations across multiple dealership locations and accounts
Partner with senior management on strategic planning investment analysis and cost-saving initiatives
Lead mentor and develop accounting team members

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related field required
5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting budgeting and internal controls
Experience in equipment dealerships construction or a related capital equipment industry preferred
Experience with ERP or dealership management systems preferred
Strong Excel financial analysis and reporting skills
CPA or CMA preferred
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced multi-location environment
