Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with a rapidly scaling commercial real estate group to identify a senior accounting leader to support its next phase of growth. This is a handson leadership opportunity within an entrepreneurial wellcapitalized organization that builds acquires and manages commercial properties across the Houston market. The firm currently has foundational accounting support in place and is at a clear inflection point where a rising leader is needed to take ownership of the function and scale it alongside continued deal activity.

Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
- Oversee daytoday accounting operations and manage the Bookkeeper
- Handle propertylevel accounting including CAM reconciliations
- Partner with banks and lenders on debt reporting covenants and compliance
- Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
- Establish and improve accounting processes as the business grows
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership while remaining handson initially
- CPA required
- 612 of experience (Commercial Real Estate experience highly preferred)
- Mix of public and private experience preferred (straight public audit also considered)
- Commercial real estate experience strongly preferred; real estateadjacent industries acceptable
- MRI experience is a plus
- Comfortable in small fastgrowing environments (1050 employee companies)
- Highvisibility role with ownership of the full accounting function
