What Youll Do
As Controller youll oversee the organizations accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting strong internal controls and efficient financial processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead all day-to-day accounting operations including General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable/Billing Payroll and Job Cost Accounting.
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting.
Oversee multi-entity reporting and financial consolidations.
Forecast cash flow and provide financial insights to executive leadership.
Ensure timely billing collections and vendor payments.
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial analyses.
Coordinate annual financial statement audits with external auditors.
Support tax reporting and statutory compliance requirements.
Oversee payroll tax reporting and related compliance activities.
Maintain and improve accounting systems and financial processes.
Partner with leadership on special projects and operational initiatives.
Develop mentor and cross-train accounting staff to build organizational depth and continuity.
What Were Looking For
The successful candidate will bring a combination of strong technical accounting expertise and proven leadership experience.
Qualifications include:
Bachelors degree in Accounting.
CPA required.
5 years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilities.
Public accounting audit experience is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting.
Experience preparing financial statements and managing the month-end close process.
Multi-entity accounting experience is preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV Sage Intacct or comparable ERP systems is a plus.
