A privately owned real estate investment and development company that has been building and managing properties for over 30 years is seeking a Finance Director to help shape and lead the finance function for its growing portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible role where youll partner directly with executive leadership and help build processes structure and best practices from the ground up.

What Youll Own

• Oversee accounting operations across multiple real estate entities
• Manage property accounting property taxes and insurance activities
• Lead CAM reconciliations across the portfolio
• Handle construction accounting for three active developments including a major mixed-use live/work/play project currently underway
• Develop and manage WIP reporting lien releases and asset component tracking processes
• Build accounting workflows SOPs and financial controls for the real estate division
• Partner closely with the SVP of Asset Management to help establish and scale the finance function
• Supervise and mentor a team of 23 accounting professionals
• Introduce new ideas efficiencies and best practices to strengthen the organization
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across all entities
• Utilize Yardi to manage accounting and property-related functions

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field- REQUIRED

Commercial real estate accounting experience including both property management and construction accounting ideally

5 years of accounting experience including LEADERSHIP

Experience with CAM reconciliations and job costing

Hands-on experience with Yardi

Experience building leading and developing small teams

Strong process improvement mindset and ability to implement best practices
