CONTROLLER / CFO (CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER) (Permanent)
Our client an established manufacturing company in the N. Towns of Buffalo NY is looking to hire a Controller / CFO (the CEO is open to titles). This position reports to the CEO who is a fantastic leader! This is the sole Accounting/Finance employee that will work closely with an outsourced public accounting firm and have some internal support from employees who have cross-trained.
Responsibilities:
- Daily oversight and management of all financial reporting processes and asset protection
- Collaborate with the CEO to improve financial policies and procedures to continue driving the companys growth
- Manage daily processes of Accounts Payables/Receivables and Journal Entries to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure accurate Profit and Loss (P&L) statements
- Produce financial forecasts and budgets
- Prepare financials and present to executive team
- Work closely with outsourced accounting firm; prepare information for taxes audits valuation reporting etc.
- Complete month-end quarterly-end and year-end
- Oversee all bank transactions and reconciliation of accounts
- Analyze and identify discrepancies issues etc.; reconcile rectify and come up with solutions
- Advise leadership team of potential risks in the financial reporting process
- Work closely with multiple departments and build relationships
- Instrumental in a new ERP system implementation: set up accounting/finance processes controls reports etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire; 100% in-office
- $140000-$175000 annually depending on experience profit sharing and bonus

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; Masters Degree a plus
- 7 years relevant accounting experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
