Job Description:
The Control Technician is responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing industrial control systems and automation equipment. This role ensures reliable operation of PLCs instrumentation sensors and control networks to support a safe and efficient production process.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install configure and maintain PLC HMI and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical instrumentation and control systems
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on control equipment
  • Calibrate and maintain field instruments (pressure flow temperature level)
  • Analyze systems faults and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement and automation projects
  • Read and Interpret electrical drawings P&IDs and control schematics
  • Work with maintenance and operations team to minimize downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (e.g. OSHA)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and systems changes

Requirement:
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology Automation or related field is nice to have.
  • Manager will look at candidates with additional work experience in liu of degree
  • 5 years of experience working with industrial control systems
  • Strong knowledge of the following:
  • PLCs (Allen-Bradley)
  • Motor control systems and VFDs
  • Industrial networks (ethernet/IP Modbus Profibus)
  • Ability to trouble shoot electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Familiarity with safety practices such as LOTO and arc flash is nice to have.
  • Candidate will be trained on both.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing environments (food & beverage dairy or processing plants)
  • Strong experience with SCADA platform (development troubleshooting and upgrades)
  • Understanding of process control loops and PID tuning.
  • Ability to work with CMMS systems
