Join Tree Top as a Control Systems Technician! In this role youll help design implement and support automation and process control systems across Tree Tops production facilities. Youll work closely with plant operations engineering and project teams to develop and maintain PLC HMI and SCADA systems that keep our manufacturing processes running efficiently and reliably. From programming and troubleshooting control systems to supporting capital projects and training employees on newly installed technologies youll play a key role in advancing Tree Tops manufacturing capabilities.

The Control Systems Technician assists with the design implementation maintenance and improvement of automation and process control systems throughout Tree Tops production facilities. This position supports the development and troubleshooting of PLC HMI and SCADA systems participates in capital projects and helps ensure safe reliable and efficient plant operations. The role also provides training and technical support to operations maintenance and supervisory personnel on newly installed systems and technologies.
- Assist with the design programming installation testing and maintenance of PLC HMI and SCADA systems
- Support automation and process improvement projects across manufacturing facilities
- Troubleshoot industrial control systems instrumentation and process equipment to identify and resolve operational issues
- Participate in the development and execution of complex control system and automation projects
- Assist with project planning coordination documentation and implementation activities
- Interpret and work from specifications drawings plans and technical reports related to plant improvements and expansions
- Ensure control systems and electrical projects comply with applicable codes regulations and company standards
- Provide training to operators mechanics and supervisors on new processing systems and control technologies
- Collaborate with plant personnel engineering teams contractors consultants and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred with 2-4 years of relevant experience; or a minimum of 7 years of experience in system integration project management PLC/HMI programming process engineering control systems engineering or a related field
- Intermediate knowledge of PLC and HMI hardware and software platforms from multiple manufacturers
- Working knowledge of process control systems instrumentation and industrial automation concepts
- Understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) NFPA 70E and applicable electrical safety requirements
- Basic knowledge of food processing systems thermal processing CIP systems and packaging operations
- Familiarity with low-voltage wiring power distribution electrical/control panel wiring and instrumentation
- Understanding of process and equipment design construction management and engineering principles as applied to food manufacturing facilities
- Ability to analyze problems develop solutions troubleshoot complex systems and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication organization and teamwork skills with the ability to influence and gain cooperation across departments
- Proficiency with computer applications including word processing spreadsheets databases AutoCAD PLC HMI and SCADA software
- ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP) and/or Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) certification highly desirable
- Knowledge of applicable federal state and local laws regulations and industry standards governing manufacturing operations and control systems development
Pay Information
Salary Range: $ annually
Target Starting Range: $95000 to $110000 annually
