Job Description

What you will be doing:

Develop and review control-system architecture flow diagrams P&IDs control sequences and design specifications.
Develop and review wiring schematics and control-panel layouts.
Program and integrate PLC and HMI systems.
Work with platforms including Allen-Bradley Siemens GE Wago and similar industrial control systems.
Develop instrument indexes bills of materials responsibility matrices and other project documentation.
Perform risk and hazard analyses.
Design configure and perform system functionality testing.
Perform equipment start-up and validation at customer sites.
Conduct I/O checkout and troubleshooting.
Calibrate instrumentation and tune PID loops.
Validate PLC/HMI programming against required control sequences.
Develop wire-pull schedules and scopes of work for contractors.
Support equipment installation troubleshooting commissioning and field activities.

Experience you will need:

Bachelors degree preferred/expected for an Engineer title.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering concentration will be considered.
Strong relevant experience may potentially be considered without a bachelors degree under a Specialist-level title.
Experience designing building programming and commissioning PLC-based control systems.
Strong ladder-logic programming experience.
Experience preparing electrical/control drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
Ability to interpret and create P&IDs.
Experience with industrial instrumentation and controls.
Experience with system integration troubleshooting start-up and commissioning.
Engine test-cell instrumentation/control experience is highly desirable.
Strong technical communication and client-service skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
