Jensen Operating System (JOS) Training Manager

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

The Jensen Operating System (JOS) Training Manager develops implements and continuously improves the training system that supports JOS across Jensen Infrastructure. Serving as a Lean subject matter expert instructor coach and facilitator this role translates Lean principles into practical standardized methods for employees at every level - from front-line production teams through executive leadership.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Developing implementing and continuously improving the company-wide JOS training curriculum including standardized presentations exercises demonstrations job aids and visual training materials.
  • Delivering role-appropriate training from Lean fundamentals through advanced problem-solving and continuous improvement methods while evaluating effectiveness and adjusting the curriculum as needs evolve.
  • Building and maintaining a company-wide Lean skills matrix defining competency and qualification standards by role and level and partnering with Human Resources to track training gaps follow-up and recertification requirements.
  • Coaching Lean champions process owners supervisors managers and plant leaders while mentoring individuals and teams through Lean and Six Sigma projects and multi-day Kaizen events.
  • Partnering with Operations Plant Leadership and Human Resources to create progressive development pathways that support career advancement succession planning and the growth of high-potential employees.
  • Supporting plant and corporate continuous improvement initiatives through shop-floor engagement KPI and visual-management practices assessments audits Kaizen follow-up and systems that sustain implemented improvements.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing Operations Business or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Significant hands-on manufacturing and continuous improvement experience including demonstrated success implementing Lean principles and standardized Lean systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering Lean training for audiences ranging from front-line employees to executives facilitating multi-day Kaizen events and coaching and mentoring employees and leaders.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean tools and practices including 5S Standard Work Gemba A3 Problem Solving Value Stream Mapping Heijunka Kanban visual and daily management flow takt time and waste elimination.
  • Strong knowledge of Six Sigma structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis; Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred with Black Belt strongly preferred and Train-the-Trainer certification or experience is also preferred.
  • Excellent presentation facilitation interpersonal communication influencing and organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously manage multiple priorities adapt communication across all organizational levels and travel regularly to Jensen manufacturing facilities.
