Job Summary
Our client is a nationally recognized law firm that is seeking an associate with 3-4 years (Class of 2022-2023) of relevant experience to join its Financial Regulatory practice. This position may be based in any of Foleys U.S. offices. The ideal candidate will have experience counseling banks credit unions FinTechs non-bank commercial and consumer lenders servicers consumer reporting agencies and technology providers on federal and state financial laws and regulations including the Truth in Lending Act Fair Credit Reporting Act Equal Credit Opportunity Act Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and related consumer protection requirements.
Qualified candidates must have experience with financial regulatory and state licensing analyses regulatory interpretation drafting and negotiating contracts and lending documents and advising clients on compliance with key federal and state commercial and consumer financial regulations. Experience assisting with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions is a plus.
We are seeking a motivated well-rounded attorney who thrives in a collaborative fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal analytical and problem-solving skills a commitment to client service and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong academic credentials are required. Applicants must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be active members in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located will be required as a condition of employment.
