About the Role
The Project Manager / Engineer oversees the planning coordination and execution of heavy civil construction projects serving as a key liaison between office operations and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and in alignment with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from kickoff through completion including planning scheduling and execution
- Coordinate job strategies materials manpower equipment and subcontractors
- Serve as a primary point of communication between office staff field teams subcontractors and vendors
- Conduct regularjobsite visits to monitor progress address issues and support field operations
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including budgets schedules subcontracts purchase ordersCOIs lien notices and submittals
- Maintain accurate and organized project records throughout the projectlifecycle
- Support field teams withRFIs scope changes (extras) and material quantity tracking
- Assist with projectfinancials including subcontractor pay estimates billings and cost tracking
- Collaborate with CAD and engineering teams on drawings and project implementation
- Reviewgeotechnical reports and soil borings to support planning and execution
- Evaluate site and soil conditions for piling drilling and related work
- Support field implementation of design drawings following project award
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in heavy civil construction (piling drilling marine or bridge work preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction methods and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings andgeotechnical reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Frequent travel to active construction sites
- Walking on uneven terrain and climbing as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
Schedule
- MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays based on project needs
