Construction Project Manager
Tampa FL (Onsite)
Emerging Tech is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support critical infrastructure modernization projects at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as part of the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This position will be located onsite at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa Florida.
This role is responsible for managing construction and facility improvement projects from planning through closeout while ensuring compliance with federal VA and project-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
Manage construction project schedules budgets and overall project performanceCoordinate with VA stakeholders contractors architects engineers and project teams
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to scope schedule and quality requirements
Review construction documents submittals RFIs change orders and project deliverables
Facilitate project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders
Track project risks issues and mitigation plans
Support commissioning testing inspections and project closeout activities
Maintain project documentation reports and construction records
Assist with development of project packages cost estimates and procurement documentation
Ensure compliance with applicable federal VA safety and construction standards
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NACI)
Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture Project Management or a related field preferred
Minimum of 7 years of construction project management experience
Experience supporting healthcare federal military or VA construction projects preferred
Experience managing project budgets schedules and contractor performance
Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint and project scheduling tools
Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills
Ability to work onsite full-time in Tampa Florida
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting VA construction projectsExperience supporting Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) infrastructure projects
PMP CCM or other relevant project management certification
