Construction Project Manager

Contegra Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee complex commercial industrial manufacturing distribution and design-build construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on planning coordination and delivering successful projects while building strong relationships with clients design teams subcontractors and field personnel. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing project financials schedules contracts procurement risk management and overall project execution while ensuring every project is delivered safely on time within budget and to Contegras high standards of quality.

Tasks

As a Construction Project Manager you will:

• Manage construction projects from preconstruction through final completion and warranty.
• Develop and maintain project budgets schedules forecasts and cost controls.
• Lead project planning procurement subcontractor buyout and contract administration.
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field operations align with project objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners architects engineers consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting schedule budget or quality.
• Manage change orders Requests for Information (RFIs) submittals pay applications and project documentation.
• Lead project meetings with clients design teams subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Review project financial performance including forecasting billing cost reporting and profitability.
• Ensure projects comply with contract requirements company standards and quality expectations.
• Support preconstruction efforts including estimating value engineering and constructability reviews when needed.
• Mentor Project Engineers and other project team members while fostering collaboration across departments.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership business acumen and construction expertise with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field preferred.
• 5 years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction.
• Proven success managing large complex construction projects from start to finish.
• Experience with commercial industrial manufacturing distribution or other complex construction projects.
• Design-build experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts scheduling budgeting procurement and project financial management.
• Experience reviewing drawings specifications subcontract agreements and contract documents.
• Excellent communication negotiation organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients subcontractors and project teams.
• Proficiency with construction management software including Procore Bluebeam Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
