Who are we looking for

As a Construction Manager you will play a critical role in bringing complex infrastructure projects to lifeserving as the key liaison between clients contractors stakeholders and project teams throughout pre-construction and construction. You will help manage the contractor and construction process coordinate scope and site logistics monitor schedules and budgets and keep clients informed on project progress from planning and drawings through construction and completion.

Youll conduct site inspections review RFIs submittals change orders and contractor invoices and work closely with QA field inspectors and materials testing teams to ensure quality compliance and contract conformance. Client & Customer Management (External): Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
Leadership and Direction: Explain the local action plan to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organizations strategy mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
Organizational Capability Building: Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills.
Performance Management: Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team allocate work and review completion take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
Project Closeout and Handover: Draft elements of product documentation and user training to support handover to business as usual. Contribute to post-project reviews and identification of lessons learned.
Project Risk and Issue Management: Identify and evaluate risks issues dependencies and constraints associated with the project escalating matters where appropriate. Where necessary develop agree on and implement solutions to overcome these concerns.
Project Scope Definition: Manage the delivery of research workshops and other activities to support the specification and agreement of project deliverables.
Regulatory and Compliance Management: Investigate standard incidents using current regulatory and compliance processes systems and procedures and take action to solve immediate compliance issues. Advise more senior colleagues on more complex problems.
Requirements Management: Identify elicit and document project/process requirements using appropriate modeling technique if required. Analyze requirements and validate with original users eliminating confusion. Define the testing scripts and verification criteria to ensure requirements are met. Maintain documentation and traceability throughout project.
Stakeholder Management: Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships for projects and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.
What will you bring to the team
Bachelors degree in architecture construction management or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction management with focus on transportation infrastructure projects.
Valid drivers license
Background Check Security Clearance required.
Certified Construction Manager Association (CCMA) preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Additional safety certifications may vary by project/site location standards.
Knowledge of construction techniques processes materials and equipment used in transportation projects
Knowledge of contracts project plans and specifications.
Knowledge of applicable industry safety standards guidelines and specifications.
Ability to read and interpret engineering architectural and other construction drawings.
Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
