We are seeking a skilled and dependable Construction Plumber for work in the West Palm Beach area. The ideal candidate will have experience installing maintaining and repairing plumbing systems on commercial and residential construction projects. This position requires the ability to read blueprints work independently or as part of a team and ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install assemble and repair plumbing systems including water supply drainage waste and vent piping.
- Read and interpret blueprints specifications and building plans.
- Lay out plumbing systems according to project requirements and code specifications.
- Install fixtures appliances and equipment such as sinks toilets water heaters and pumps.
- Measure cut bend and thread pipe using hand and power tools.
- Coordinate with project managers superintendents and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform pressure testing and inspections of plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues during construction phases.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Complete all required documentation reports and work orders accurately.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of construction plumbing experience.
- Knowledge of commercial and residential plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plumbing schematics.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Experience with PVC CPVC cast iron copper PEX and other piping materials.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber certification.
- Plumbing license or apprenticeship training.
- Experience with commercial construction projects.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Backflow certification a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand kneel bend climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift carry and move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying temperatures and construction site conditions.
Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
