Construction Manager
Collier Engineering is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager with a strong background in bridge construction and roadway and paving operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact infrastructure projects across Middle Tennessee ensuring quality execution safety and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will support and report to our County Services Department Manager while also building strong relationships with Collier Engineering inspectors managers clients and contractors in the field.
Collier Engineering is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager with a strong background in bridge construction and roadway and paving operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact infrastructure projects across Middle Tennessee ensuring quality execution safety and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will support and report to our County Services Department Manager while also building strong relationships with Collier Engineering inspectors managers clients and contractors in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing construction activities for bridge roadway and paving projects.
- Coordinate with contractors inspectors utility providers and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and project stakeholders to address questions concerns and updates.
- Monitor progress track quantities and assist with documentation including daily reports pay applications and change orders.
- Participate in quality assurance checks safety reviews and schedule coordination meetings.
- Enforce safety and quality standards in accordance with TDOT local and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of relevant experience in bridge roadway and paving construction.
- Working knowledge of construction methods materials and standards related to bridges paving and grading.
- Familiarity with TDOT specifications permitting processes and construction documentation.
- Strong organizational communication and client service skills.
- Ability to interpret construction documents and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficient in construction documentation and reporting.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. TDOT NICET OSHA ACI) a plus.
