Job Summary
As a Construction Manager at Zephyr Rail you will be responsible for the execution of the full scope of construction management services in accordance with contract requirements. You will serve as Zephyr Rails representative on complex transit construction projects providing oversight of all project staff daily field and office activities and all ancillary project functions. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced professional with a strong background in transit construction safety culture and contract management.

Job Summary
As a Construction Manager at Zephyr Rail you will be responsible for the execution of the full scope of construction management services in accordance with contract requirements. You will serve as Zephyr Rails representative on complex transit construction projects providing oversight of all project staff daily field and office activities and all ancillary project functions. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced professional with a strong background in transit construction safety culture and contract management.
Responsibilities
- Always prioritize the safety of employees government workers and contractors staff.
- Serve as the main representative for all project-related affairs; supervise and coordinate project staff daily field and office operations and all supporting project activities.
- Assist the projects executive team and provide reports to leadership as needed.
- Oversee the project schedule and budget ensuring the project stays on track regarding quality timing and costs.
- Assist in overseeing all engineering construction quality safety environmental third-party and community outreach functions.
- Represent Zephyr Rail within the community and to public agencies; uphold the projects safety culture and oversee operations to ensure no loss-time incidents occur on the projects.
- Ensure compliance with all contract documents.
- Conduct constructability reviews and offer feedback on design packages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering architecture construction management business administration or a related field.
- Approximately 10 years of experience managing construction on transit projects valued at $30 million or more.
- Approximately 3 years of supervisory experience managing major construction contracts of similar size and scope.
- Valid California Class C drivers license required.
- Experience as a contractor (project manager superintendent engineer) is preferred.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
