TheTDIPConstructionManagershallreporttotheirassignedprojectsrespectiveprojectmanager and is responsible for managing and coordinating construction activities of the Construction Contractor(Design/Builderand/orConstructionManageratRisk).TheTDIPConstructionManager acts as the liaison for pre-construction and construction activities including leading the safety security and quality for the assigned programs.The Terminal Development and Improvement Program (TDIP) is a major capital program focused on delivering distinct projects focused on modernizing LAXs passenger terminals to improve customer experience operational efficiency safety and connectivity across the airport.
The TDIP Construction Manageris responsible for managing the scope cost schedule and operational interfaces of all design and construction related activities for the program.The TDIP ConstructionManagerwillbefocusedonschedulecertaintybudgetdeliveryandmakingsurethat constructionworkmeetstherequiredqualitystandardswhileenforcingastronghealthsafetyand environmental culture on the project. The TDIP Construction Managerwill support the development and implementation of design construction testing commissioning turnover plans impacts to the operations ensuring that risk mitigation for construction activities are optimized working and coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring LAWA standards are adhered to.

Management of construction within budget and schedule constraints while maintaining all necessary scope elements
Leader in stakeholder engagement to identity communicate resolution and accomplishment their needs while preserving the principles and criteria of the project scope schedule and budget constraints
Knowledgeinconstructioncontractingpracticesandmethodologies
Knowledge and experience in the project construction life cycle from Pre-Construction to estimating/buyout to phasing to implementation to Closeout
Maintaining an excellent working relationship with the design and construction professionals geared towards open communications and mutual problem solving in the best interest of the project and all other parties involved
Monitorallon-sitefieldconstructionactivitiesassociatedwiththecompletionoftheproject.
Applycomprehensiveknowledgeofvariousdisciplinestobeusedduringconstructionaswellas the methods and techniques to be utilized for installation.
EnsureconstructionoperationsfollowapprovedworkplansandAreaShutdownRequests (ASRs) and all proper notications are made
Becomethoroughlyfamiliarwithrequiredcontractualobligationsandtechnicalaspectsofall facilities to be erected
Ensureallworkisbeingperformedwithandinspectedtothelatestversionsofplansand specifications including approved changes submittals and RFIs
WorkwithConstructionContractorandstakeholderstodeveloptheoverallplanningof construction activities and identify critical milestones and priorities
Monitorbudgetestimatesandstaffingrequirementsforthedefinedscopeandschedule
Monitortheassignmentofmanpowermaterialsandequipmenttomaximizeefficiencymaintain schedules and to meet budget goals
Keepalerttopossibleproblemareasandtakepreventativeactiontoensurethatcritical milestones are met for each phase of the project
Ensure the use of sound and safe construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost
Prepareperiodicreportssummarizingprogressofconstructionactivitiesforhigher-level management and clients
Ensureeffectiveimplementationofallpoliciesandproceduresincludingprojectlabor agreement policies
ContributetotheadvancementofTDGsgoalsthroughcommitmenttoproductivecollaboration with all stakeholders
Performotherresponsibilitiesassociatedwiththispositionasmaybeappropriate
ParticipateinallnecessarycoordinationmeetingswiththeConstructionContractortrade partners stakeholders LAWA Operations etc.
