Job Summary

Required Qualifications
For all ranks An earned doctoral degree in Construction Management Construction Engineering Civil Engineering or a closely related field. ABD may be considered with the stipulation that the PhD is completed during the first year of employment. An undergraduate degree in Construction Management from an ACCE or ABET accredited institution or in Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or a closely related field from a similarly accredited institution. Excellent oral and written English language skills. For the rank of associate professor in addition to those required above A demonstrated record of excellent teaching abilities. A strong record of research (as PI or co-PI) and peer-reviewed publications associated with external funding adequate to support students. A minimum of six years of teaching experience as a full-time faculty member in a related discipline. For the rank of professor in addition to those required above A minimum of 12 years of teaching experience as a full-time faculty member in a related discipline. An established national reputation among peers and demonstrated leadership through service to the university professional organizations and community or government agencies. The successful applicant will be offered the appropriate rank and title based on the established standards of the university and the Department of Engineering Technology.

Preferred Qualifications
Industry experience in construction and/or construction management or in construction engineering. Research interests and experience in fields complementary to those of other faculty in the department. Professional licensure or certification as an American Institute of Constructors ( AIC ) Associate Constructor (AC) or Certified Professional Constructor ( CPC ) Construction Management Association of America ( CMAA ) Certified Construction Manager ( CCM ) Project Management Institute Construction Professional ( PMI -CP) professional engineer (PE) registered architect or other certifications related to the construction profession such as LEED -AP and OSHA Authorized Trainer. University level teaching experience in construction management or related programs.
