Job Summary
Required Qualifications
An earned doctoral degree in Construction Management Construction Engineering Civil Engineering or a closely related field. An undergraduate degree in Construction Management from an ACCE or ABET accredited institution or in Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or a closely related field from a similarly accredited institution. Excellent oral and written English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Publication record in academic journals and proceedings. The potential for a viable externally funded research program. Three or more years of full-time work experience in a construction management or construction engineering discipline. Research expertise in one or more of the following areas: Artificial intelligence in construction management concrete materials science or concrete production Virtual design and construction extended reality digital twins digital construction Predictive analytics for schedule/cost/risk in construction 3D printed concrete structures Modular and offsite construction Resilient and insurable construction systems Ability to teach in one or more of the following content areas: Construction technology Construction materials means and methods Construction equipment and methods Construction contracts risk and ethics Fundamentals of concrete construction means and methods Precast/Prestressed concrete products and management Sustainability in concrete Concrete problems diagnosis and prevention Earned construction industry certifications (i.e. Certified Professional Constructor ( CPC ) Project Management Professional ( PMP ) Certified Construction Manager ( CCM ) LEED -AP DBIA Design-Build Professional or related).
