Job Summary
Minimum Education Level: Bachelors degree in Architecture Aviation BusinessEngineeringConstruction Management Planning or other related technical field required. Mastersdegree preferred.
Professional Licenses & Certification: Optional Certifications may include AAAE LEED PMPPE AICP etc. or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certifications.
Minimum Years and Experience: 10 years or more experience preferably on airportbuilding programs or similar complex building programs.
Essential Job Duties
1. Wayfinding specialists with multiple years of airport experience skilled in creatingimplementing and overseeing temporary wayfinding strategies that support pedestrianflow and user experience.
2. Proficient in assessing signage quality visual appeal and adherence to standards withthe ability to recommend sign types specific to each project.
3. Experience managing multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multidisciplinaryteams including staff with technical and non-technical backgrounds. Must coordinate acrossvarious disciplines meeting multiple deadlines under pressure in a dynamic environment.
4. Proficient in reading interpreting and analyzing project schedules Gantt charts anddesign plans. Capable of evaluating signage needs based on construction activitiesenvironmental factors and user expectations to maintain effective wayfinding.
5 In-depth understanding of signage materials fabrication methods color theorytypography and font specifications. Knowledge of signage temporary wayfinding andmapping industry best practices.
6. Ability to review projects submittals Phasing Plan and Site Logistics Plans as submittedthrough the ASR and LIR processes with a keen eye for wayfinding impacts.
7. Strong visualization skills. Experience in developing concepts location plans andproposed wayfinding paths of travel with high visual impact.
8. Proficient in planning production and installation of temporary wayfinding thattranslates complex information into easy-to-understand visuals.
9. Hands-on experience with installation procedures including regular site walks toevaluate signage effectiveness and updates to plans as needed.
10. Skilled in tracking phasing for production and installation schedules across multipleprojects ensuring timely completion and a holistic approach across projects.
11. High attention to detail in verifying the quality and consistency of signage andwayfinding elements ensuring visual appeal and usability across all materials.
12. Skilled in layout and information design including the formatting of wayfinding plansmaps newsletters flyers stakeholder updates and presentation materials. Ability to applyvisual hierarchy consistency readability and brand/program standards to ensure materialsare clear professional and audience appropriate.
13. Excellent writing editing proofreading and verbal communication skills with the abilityto clearly communicate technical or field-based information to both project teams and nontechnicalstakeholders.
14. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam for creating editing and reviewingvisual materials and layouts.
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook Excel Word Publisher PowerPoint) forproject communication scheduling and documentation.
16. The candidate shall pass the federal background check and LAWA Badge is required
Salary dependent on education and experience. Salary range: $100K-$120K
