Construction Laborer

Job Summary

The Construction Laborer performs a variety of physical tasks to support construction projects from groundbreaking through completion. This role requires stamina attention to safety and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew on commercial job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean job sites by removing debris hazardous materials and obstructions
• Load unload and transport construction materials tools and equipment
• Assist skilled tradespeople including carpenters electricians and plumbers
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding shoring braces and temporary structures
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools (shovels jackhammers drills etc.)
• Mix pour and spread concrete asphalt or other materials
• Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean working condition
• Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman or site supervisor

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and perform strenuous physical labor
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Basic understanding of construction site safety practices
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Reliable punctual and strong work ethic
• Ability to work well on a team

Physical Requirements

• Standing walking bending and kneeling for extended periods
• Working at heights (ladders scaffolding)
• Exposure to dust noise and outdoor elements
