Construction Field Technician | Nashua, NH

IMEG is hiring a Construction Field Technician in Nashua NH to perform routine field tasks under the direction of the Construction Manager. As a technician you will support construction projects through field inspection testing documentation and plan interpretation with work reviewed during the process and upon completion. Youll also serve as a construction observer by taking field measurements and documentation entries as assigned.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate to advanced field inspection testing and documentation
• Complete on-site testing of soils concrete or hot mix asphalt independently or interdependently
• Complete laboratory testing of soils concrete or hot mix asphalt independently or interdependently
• Attend training to achieve various certifications
• Understand operations and identify potential problems
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment
• Observe safety and security procedures

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Associates degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred
• 1 years of experience minimum required 2 preferred in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
• Ability to read a tape measure in both fractions and tenths
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form
• Must always maintain professional conduct
• Valid drivers license required with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier
• Advanced/Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
• Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays
