Position SummaryThe Project Manager I provides overall direction and leadership for an entire project or a portion of a larger more complex project in partnership with the Project Superintendent. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and administration of construction projects while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients design teams subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities-
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by leading safety initiatives investigating incidents and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Manage project startup and preconstruction activities including quantity takeoffs trade coordination scope development bid package preparation scheduling and subcontractor solicitation.

Lead subcontractor buyout activities including bid evaluation scope verification pricing analysis and subcontract execution.

Manage submittal schedules review shop drawings and samples and coordinate approvals with architects and engineers.

Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment with logistics and purchasing teams.

Review subcontractor qualifications bonding and risk requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate activities among owners architects engineers subcontractors vendors and field teams.

Manage change orders by obtaining pricing evaluating impacts preparing documentation and securing owner approval.

Lead project meetings including Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings progress meetings and internal project reviews.

Manage monthly owner billing and subcontractor payment applications.

Develop maintain and update project schedules in collaboration with the Project Superintendent.

Identify schedule risks related to scope changes weather labor or material availability and implement mitigation strategies.

Maintain accurate project documentation related to budget schedule quality safety and contractual matters.

Prepare regular project status reports cost analyses and profitability forecasts.

Monitor project budgets costs and financial performance while identifying and addressing variances.

Lead project closeout activities including punch lists warranties financial reconciliation and contract closeout.

Coordinate with legal and risk management teams as needed.

Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Engineering or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.

Experience working for a General Contractor (GC).

Hands-on experience managing self-perform concrete projects on commercial construction projects.

Valid and unrestricted drivers license.

Willingness to travel or relocate based on project requirements.

Strong understanding of commercial construction methods project delivery and field operations.

Experience managing project budgets schedules subcontractors procurement and client relationships.

Strong knowledge of cost control forecasting contract administration and change order management.

Excellent leadership communication negotiation and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Advanced proficiency with construction management project accounting and scheduling software.

Knowledge of Lean construction principles and continuous improvement practices.

Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Assignment may be based at project sites and/or corporate offices.

Occasional travel and temporary relocation may be required.

Flexibility to work extended or non-traditional hours based on project needs.

Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
